Portfolio Manager

Description:

ACG Group is seeking a proactive and commercially minded Portfolio Manager to join our dynamic investment team.

This hands-on role combines portfolio management, investment analysis, strategy development and trade execution. We are looking for a fast-thinking professional who can translate market views into actionable investment decisions and manage portfolios within defined risk parameters.

Key responsibilities:

Manage and monitor investment portfolios in line with agreed objectives and risk parameters.
Develop and implement investment strategies across relevant asset classes.
Generate investment ideas through market, fundamental and quantitative analysis.
Translate macroeconomic and market developments into portfolio positioning and trades.
Execute portfolio transactions in coordination with trading and operations teams.
Monitor portfolio performance, exposures, liquidity and risk.
Prepare portfolio reviews, performance commentary and investment recommendations.
Improve portfolio management processes, tools and reporting.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
2-3 years of relevant experience in portfolio management, asset management, investment analysis or trading.
Practical experience in portfolio construction, investment strategy and trade execution.
Proficiency in Bloomberg Terminal for market analysis, portfolio monitoring and trade execution.
Good understanding of financial markets, asset allocation and risk management.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel.
Proactive, accountable and able to perform effectively in a fast-moving environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Requirements

To be eligible for an internship at ACG Group, you must:

University degree (obtained or close to graduation) or above in banking & finance, business administration, economics or related discipline.
International experience is beneficial.
Excellent knowledge of MS office applications (Excel, Macros, VBA).
Expertise in Bloomberg & programming skills are a plus.
English (full proficiency required). Any further language is a great asset (Italian, French, German, Chinese).
